Most companies that will come out to look at your sliding door do something else for a living. They are a general handyman service, a glass company, or a windows-and-doors dealer whose actual business model is selling you a replacement. That shapes the advice you get, whether or not anyone intends it to.

CaliberFix only does sliding doors and sliding windows. Rollers, tracks, locks, handles, glass, screens, alignment. That is the entire scope, and it means our vans carry the parts, our technicians have seen your exact failure a hundred times, and we have no incentive to talk you into a project you do not need.

How we work

• The estimate is free and it happens at your door. Nobody can diagnose a sliding door over the phone, and any company that quotes you one sight unseen is guessing.
• We diagnose the whole system, not the symptom. A lock that will not catch is usually a roller problem. A door that drags is often a track problem too. Fixing the presenting complaint alone is why repairs come back.
• Flat pricing, agreed before we start. You see the number, you approve it, then work begins. No hourly meter, no discovering things halfway through.
• Parts chosen for Florida. Marine-grade stainless and solid brass rather than the plated hardware most doors shipped with. It costs marginally more and lasts substantially longer here.
• One visit wherever possible. The van is stocked deliberately so the common jobs finish the day we arrive.

Our warranty

Every repair we perform is covered for 12 months on both parts and labour. If something we fitted fails inside that window, we come back and put it right at no charge. It is written on the invoice rather than promised at the door.

The warranty covers our workmanship and the components we install. It does not extend to damage from storms, impact, forced entry, or a different contractor working on the same door afterwards, which we think is reasonable and we would rather say plainly than bury.

Why we repair instead of replace

A sliding door is built from parts with wildly different lifespans. The frame and the glass routinely last decades. The rollers, locks, seals, and screens are consumables, and in a coastal climate they are fairly short-lived consumables.

When those consumables fail, the door feels finished. It drags, it will not lock, it whistles in wind. Homeowners reasonably conclude the door is done, and a lot of companies are happy to agree with them.

In our experience the overwhelming majority of doors that get replaced in Florida did not need to be. If your frame is square, dry, and structurally sound, and your glass is intact, you almost certainly have a hardware problem, and hardware problems are a fraction of the cost. We dispatch across Florida, seven days a week, from 7am to 9pm.
